Playing catch-up...

Yes, I realize I haven't posted anything since September of last year.  I am going to attempt to catch up to the here and now, so please bear with me!  As you can imagine, there's a lot to write about, and even more photos to sort through of these past 4 1/2 months.  Post dates are going to be a little wonky, too, but it will all even out eventually, I hope!

*fingers crossed*

Visit from Drew and Ron

At the end of September, we received a week-long visit from Brett's dad, Drew; and Brett's uncle, Ron.  It was so fun having them visit us.  It had been over a year since we had seen them.  They sure had an action-packed week, though.  They did D.C. twice, one day of which I actually got to tag along (thanks to my friend, Angela, for watching the boys for us), New York City, the Dulles Air and Space Museum, and other things I'm sure I'm forgetting.  I'm just going to post lots and lots of photos, many of which I don't have explanations for because I wasn't there, but hopefully it will give you an idea of the fun they had.

I guess there wasn't enough room on either side of the car to open the doors, forcing Drew to climb out the back.

I'm sure it brought back lots of memories.

He really wanted this child-sized astronaut uniform.  What an "Eli's Outfits" that would make, eh?!

Everyone should have one of these single-man helicopters.  Brett sure wants one.

I couldn't get Brady to ever hold still enough for a photo.  This was as good as it got.

Stopped for lunch at a trendy Mexican restaurant.  Not bad...not bad.  Guacamole wasn't worth the $15 we paid, though.

And that concludes their visit!  It was really nice to have them here, and I'm sure after all the walking they did, their feet were grateful when it was time to fly home.

He has some weird inclination that with a name like Eli, it is requisite that he plays football.  Either that, or it's his parents' obsession with the sport.  One of the two.

Music Video.

Brady is really into music, especially Brett's music.  I caught him singing along to one of his recent favorites, and I just had to post it.  It's kinda long (3+ minutes), but it's downright hilarious!

Random Photos - September

I take a lot of photos with my iPhone. It's always handy and easy to whip out quickly, which works out well since my boys make for much better candid photo subjects than posed.  Unfortunately, I usually have more photos of Eli than I do Brady because he is in school all day, but here are some random photos I've take of them during September.

Eli was too lazy to find socks.  I guess fruit snack wrappers were the next best thing.

Who needs a bench press when you've got little boys?!

Eli loves to wait outside for Brady to get home from school.  He stands with open arms, excited to give Brady a big hug after getting off of the school bus.  I love that my boys love each other so much!
